The following photographer I am interested in researching is Jay Maisel. Jay Maisel is most well known for his modern day photography, that simply captures photos in their natural form, by the way of light and positioning. Maisel is also known for his photoshoots of Marilyn Monroe and Miles Davis. His accomplishments are vast, and he continues to shoot every-day photography today. What intrigues me the most about Maisel's work is that he is simply defining the world in a single photo.

This is the original photo of my father sleeping outside on the deck (he did give me permission to use the photo). The lighting is natural and gives a good example of a nicely taken outdoor photo. The below image is of him sleeping, with the brightness and curves adjusted to add a richer color tone to the photo. It really allows for the colors in the background (trees etc.), to pop out, as well as the colors of his clothing, especially his shorts. I liked the balance in colors in the below photo because it enhances it just enough to look more vibrant.

This image is of my dog Patrick, taken inside without a flash, but only natural light. The
natural light shows how he looks without any enhancing. In the below picture I brightened it, and made the color contrast a big more vibrant to show off his coat, but not make it look too unnatural.
With the brightening effect, you can see his markings better, and it almost looks like the sun is shining on his face. The color of the sheets and blankets are also more lit up because of the color advancement.

The following image is of my "object name project" I used various objects to spell out my name, Maddie. I used powerpoint to create the banner by grouping the images, after they were imported.

Power Point Logo Assignment: The following image is of the logo I created for this class.

The following photo is an image of my friend's horse, Frank, prior to the lighting enhancement that I used in Picasa.

This image above is Frank, with the fill light enhanced, to create a brighter image through Picasa. It lightens the coat of the horse, and creates more of a sun light image.

This image is the original copy of a cat sleeping at the barn before being cropped.

This is the image that I manually cropped through Picasa in order to create this image. It zooms in and allows you to see a better image of the cat.
